Getting Started

Let me start out with, I like beer, not all types of beer, but I'll try anything.  Since graduating college, I have been visiting breweries, and trying new craft beers across the US, and a bit in Europe, to learn what styles I like.  This blog will be my way of sharing my experiences with you.

One of the things I've learned throughout the years is that everyone's palate is different, depending on what you eat, what you have drank prior to tasting, can affect how a beer tastes, so revisiting a beer can bring out a new experience.  And that is part of the fun.

I typically prefer red ales, or older style English and Scotch ales.  I've recently developed a like towards Belgian styles, specifically the Trippel.  Right now, I tend to shy away from IPAs, because the bitterness from the hops tends to overpower the beer itself.  I'm also not a big fan of Sour beers because again, the flavor presented from the lacto-baccillus (the sourness) overpowers the beer.

So I hope that you will enjoy this blog and please feel free to suggest beers to try and places to go.  Cheers
